Some trips show you a country; this one lets you live in it for a while. Over nineteen days it braids together the three things that make North India unforgettable — its monuments, its wildlife and its spirit — into a single, generous journey that never has to choose between them.

You’ll begin with the icons: imperial Delhi, the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, the bird-thronged lagoons of Bharatpur and the pink palaces of Jaipur. Then the wild takes over — tiger tracking across three of India’s finest parks, Ranthambore, Kanha and Bandhavgarh, with dawn and dusk jeep safaris through sal forest and grassland. And it ends on a note of pure wonder: the erotic temple sculpture of Khajuraho, and the timeless riverfront of Varanasi at sunrise.

It is a big, ambitious journey across several states, so we run it with expert local guides and naturalists at each stop, and handle every drive, train and flight ourselves. All you do is watch for the flash of stripes in the long grass, and let India unfold.

Why this grand journey

Three tiger parks, not one

A single park is a gamble; three — Ranthambore, Kanha and Bandhavgarh — dramatically improve your chances of that unforgettable sighting, across very different landscapes.

Naturalists who read the jungle

At each park you're with an expert naturalist who knows the territories, the alarm calls and the light — the difference between a safari and a sighting.

Culture and wild, in balance

Monuments while you're fresh, jungle in the middle, and the spiritual crescendo of Khajuraho and Varanasi — a rhythm that never tires.

We handle the hard logistics

Long drives, overnight trains and flights across several states — all booked, timed and held together so you never touch a ticket.

Lodges chosen with care

From heritage hotels to characterful jungle lodges beside the parks — comfort where it counts on a nineteen-day road.

Shaped around you

Add extra safari days, a photography focus, or a slower pace — the journey bends to your passions.

The journey, stage by stage

A framework, not a script — shaped around your pace and passions.

Arrive Delhi for a full city day — Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Old Delhi — then the road to Agra (via Sikandra) for the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the Baby Taj.

Fatehpur Sikri en route to Bharatpur and the great Keoladeo bird sanctuary by cycle-rickshaw, then Jaipur for a full Pink City day.

Into tiger country: dawn and dusk jeep safaris through Ranthambore, with its lakes, ruined fort and famously photogenic tigers.

An overnight train south, then Kanha — the sal forests and grassy maidans that inspired The Jungle Book — for morning and evening game drives.

On to Bandhavgarh, one of the best places on earth to see a wild tiger, with elephant and jeep safaris.

West to Khajuraho for its UNESCO temples — the boldest, most exquisite sculpture India ever produced, marooned in a quiet village.

Fly to Varanasi: a dawn boat on the Ganges, the labyrinth of ghats and lanes, Sarnath, and the evening Ganga aarti.

Fly back to Delhi for a relaxed final day before your onward flight home.
