Some journeys are measured in miles; this one is measured in devotion. Across fifteen days it follows the arc of a single extraordinary life — from the garden at Lumbini where Siddhartha was born, to the bodhi tree at Bodhgaya where he became the Buddha, to the deer park at Sarnath where he first taught, and finally to Kushinagar, where he passed into parinirvana.

Between those four great pilgrimage sites lie the places that shaped the faith: the ruins of Nalanda, the world’s oldest university; Rajgir, where the first Buddhist council met; the monasteries of Sravasti and the stupas of Vaishali. And it opens gently, in the Golden Triangle — Delhi, Jaipur and Agra — so first-time visitors meet India’s grandeur before turning inward.

We are not a call centre with a map. This route crosses states and an international border into Nepal, so we run it with local guides who know each sacred site — the chants, the rituals, the quiet corners — and handle every permit, flight and transfer, leaving you free simply to walk, and to reflect.

Pilgrimage highlights

Fifteen days on the path

From ₹1,15,000 / person — private, guided, permits and internal flights arranged. Final quote flexes with hotels and group size.

Why pilgrimage with us

The four great sites, complete

Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Sarnath and Kushinagar — the pilgrimage the Buddha himself commended — woven into one seamless journey with the key secondary sites.

Guides who understand the practice

Not sightseeing guides reciting dates, but locals who know the chanting, the offerings and the etiquette of each temple and stupa, and give you space to sit.

Border & logistics, handled

Lumbini is in Nepal; the circuit crosses several states. We arrange the flights, road transfers and cross-border permits so you never juggle paperwork.

A pace for reflection

This is not a race between monuments. Days are built with time to meditate, to walk the grounds slowly, and to be still where it matters.

Comfort on a long road

Some of these towns are remote. We choose the best available hotels at each stop so the journey restores rather than tires you.

Shaped around your practice

The journey, stage by stage

A framework, not a script — shaped around your pace and practice.

Arrive Delhi, then Jaipur (Amber Fort by elephant, the City Palace and Hawa Mahal) and Agra via Fatehpur Sikri — the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the Baby Taj. A grand introduction to India before the pilgrimage turns inward.

Fly to Varanasi, the oldest living city. Visit Sarnath, where the Buddha preached his first sermon and set the wheel of dharma turning, and take a dawn boat on the Ganges past the ghats.

On to Bodhgaya — the spiritual heart of the journey — for the Mahabodhi Temple and the descendant of the very bodhi tree beneath which the Buddha attained enlightenment, with excursions to Nalanda and Rajgir.

Via Vaishali, where the Buddha gave his last sermon and announced his coming parinirvana, on to Kushinagar for the night.

The Mahaparinirvana Temple, where the Buddha passed away, and the modern international monasteries — then across the border into Nepal to Lumbini.

The Maya Devi Temple and Ashoka’s pillar at the Buddha’s birthplace, then onward via Sravasti and the ruins of the Jetavana Monastery toward Balrampur.

A gentle transition through Balrampur to Lucknow — the Imambara and Rumi Darwaza — before flying back toward Delhi.

A final day in Delhi — Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, the Red Fort and Raj Ghat — before your onward flight home, the whole path behind you.
