Ranthambore is where a Golden Triangle trip grows a wild heart. Once a royal hunting ground, today it is one of India’s best places to see a Bengal tiger in the wild — padding along a jungle track, drinking at a lake, or resting in the shade of a thousand-year-old ruin. Deer, crocodiles, sloth bears and hundreds of birds share the park, and a great clifftop fort watches over it all.

Sightings are never guaranteed — that’s wild — but they reward patience and good guiding. Our local naturalists know the zones, the movements and the seasons, and we handle the fiddly permit system so your safaris are booked, timed and stress-free.

What to do at Ranthambore

When to visit

The park is open roughly October to June (core zones usually close in the monsoon). Sightings are often best in the hotter months (April–June) when tigers come to water, while October–March is more comfortable. We advise two nights and 3–4 safaris to raise your chances.

How Ranthambore fits into your trip

It slots neatly between Jaipur and Agra — see our Golden Triangle with Tiger or the grander Taj, Tiger & Temples. Just add a couple of nights and we handle the permits.

Talk to a local, not a call centre

Ask us how many safaris to book, the best zones, and the right season for your dates. A local naturalist replies within the hour.
